Adi Kailash Yatra Trek Tour
Day 1: Kathgodam to Dharchula (290 km) (9/10 hours)
The vehicle will be arranged from Kathgodam Railway Station and the departure time is 6:30 am. The drive is through Almora via picturesque valley of Kumaon. Cross Joulijbi, see the confluence of River Gori with Kali River which crosses at Dharchula from India to Nepal.
Have breakfast at Dharchula and move to Budi. The taxis will drop you, start the descent along the gushing river, it is coffee milky (sandy) in colour. It is also known as “Kali”. On its course lies huge boulders. Pass this adventurous section and reach Budi. Setup the camps and retire for the night.
Today, to reach Budi to Gunji trek through the forest and from a clearing witness a majestic view of a glacier. River Kali flows on the other side. Spot wildflowers and a variety of tall trees. Reach Gunji, setup the camps and retire for the night.
The trek from Nabito Kutti is long through the wide meadows and greenery everywhere. The forests accompany you all the way to Kutti.
Start the trek early to reach Jyolinkong, the trek is strenuous today. The ascents are steep which can be crossed after some efforts. The alpine trek from Kutti to Jyolingkong is a beautiful one, have breakfast in middle of the way at Sumchuma. Continue the trek towards Jyolingkong, meals will be served there and the night stay will be in tents.
Today rest and relax at Jyolingkong as tomorrow is going to be a strenuous trek to Sinla pass.
Post breakfast, leave Jyolingkong and move to Nabi, it lies 14 km away and reaching there would take around 6 to 7 hours. Have lunch en route. After reaching the campsite, have salubrious food and retire for the night.
From Nabi, visit Nabidang to sightsee Om Parvat and Kalapani temple. After the pilgrimage tour, the lunch will be served at Kalapani. Get back to Nabi and enjoy your dinner and stay there.
Wake up to the beautiful views of Om Parvat and after breakfast return to Gunji. Reach Gunji and enjoy your dinner and stay there.
Post breakfast start the trek from Gunji to Budi, cross forested sections and get great view of the glacier. On the other side flows Kali River. Reach Budi, setup the camps and retire for the night.
Retrace your steps, the vehicles will be arranged to reach Dharchula. Arrangements will be made in a hotel there.
Today the drive is from Dharchula to Kathgodam via Almora. Post breakfast, leave early to reach Kathgodam on time.

According to the legends, there are only eight mountains in India, which has an impression of OM symbol. Out of these eight, only one has been discovered, which is known as Om Parvat or Adi Kailash. This magical mountain, Adi Kailash, is standing tall at an elevation of 6191 m in the Dharchula district. It is quite known for its strong religious and adventure to connect, also, it is believed that the mountain has a miraculous nature. One thing, which makes this mountain look apart from other Himalayan ranges is its OM shape, which is formed by the by deposition of snow on the black mountain.
