Eligibility for Medical Visa from Russia to India

 

  • Patient & accompanying Co passenger is granted a medical visa if they are going to another country with the sole purpose for medical treatment. The total duration of the visa is maximum of one year.

  • Most important they should seek medical treatment at reputed/recognized/specialized hospitals in India .

  • Only two attendants are allowed to travel with the patient. They shoud be members of the patient family or close associates.

  • There is a comprehensive list of ailments for which medical visa is granted to India that ranges from cardiac treatment, neurosurgery,ophthalmic disorders, organ transplantations to congenital disorders, radiotherapy,gene therapy,  plastic surgery, joint replacement, tumours , spinal issues cardiac and others.

 

Important Documents Required for India Medical Visa from Russia

 

Required Documents

 

Original passport with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages.

Visa application form, should be filled out in English at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa, printed out and signed twice: under the photo and after the declaration

One good quality color photograph (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm)

Copies of the relevant pages of the Internal Passport (front page, the page where the address is mentioned, the page about previously issued international passports )

 

* Copy of the photo page of the International Passport

 

  • Completely and correctly filled online visa application form. The form should be printed on two sheets of paper.

  • One current color photograph of size 3.5cmx4.5cm having frontal view of face against a white background.

  • Passport with a validity of 180 days or 6 months having two blank pages.

  • Proof of address or residence that matches with the applicant’s current address on the visa application. For instance, driving licence, utility bills for water, electric, sewage, copy of a valid lease with the signature of the tenant/landlord.

  • A certificate of preliminary medical advice from the local doctor that proves that the applicant is advised to for a specialized medical treatment.

  • An official letter from the concerned hospital in India stating the applicant and his/her medical attendant’s name, the patient’s ailment and their consent to provide medical treatment to him/her for their ailment.

  • For minors (below 18 years old):

 

Birth certificates are required that contains parents’ name, date of birth and nationality. Only birth certificates are accepted for Russian nationals; Indian nationals can provide with birth certificates, old Indian passport or school leaving certificate; other country nationals have to provide a birth certificate or any other government document (translated to English and notarized) that has the parent’s name, date of birth and nationality.

 

  • Important pages of both the parents’ passports bearing their photo and signature.

  • Visa applications for minors should contain both the parents’ signature and should be notarized with a notary stamp and sealed.

 

Processing Time of India Medical Visa from Russia

 

TERMS OF REVIEW AND RECEIVING YOUR VISA

 

Term reviewed Usually, however, this time depends on various factors, such as location, place of issue of your old passport, your current visa status, etc., and may vary from time to time. The time mentioned here does not include shipping time spent at work courier companies. Incomplete applications will result in delays in issuing visas and applicants must comply with any changes in the order that may arise during this time.

 

We kindly ask you to start preparing for the trip only after receiving the service. BLS / OT / CGI is not responsible for any claims relating to inconveniences or penalties when an applicant is required to make changes to their travel plans due to delays and / or inconvenience because of the refusal of a visa.

 

Average processing time is 5 business days for all types of visas, including business visas, provided that all documents are in order. However, the issuance of visas for foreign citizens to be more long-term process and takes longer.

As part of further liberalization, simplification and rationalization of visa regime in India to facilitate greater movement & interaction between the people of the two countries, multiple entry, Tourist and Business visa for a period of 5 years can be granted to the Russian nationals.

 

The Visa Service Charge for the nationals of the Russian Federation and the visa fee for the remaining nationalities have been adjusted to the prevailing exchange rates. The new rates for the Visa Service Charges for all types of visas for the Russian nationals is as follows :

 

Single Entry - Ruble 2749/-

Double Entry - Ruble 6184/-

Multiple Entry - Ruble 8246/-

 

In addition to the above, Valid Indian visas can be transferred at the rate of Russian Rubles 2330.

 

The new rates shall come into effect from October 1, 2018. The Government charges @ Russian ICWF charge - Ruble 207/- and the service charges of the Outsourcing Agency will continue to remain the same till further notice.

 

Important Notes:

 

Russian short term visa (Non-Russian nationals) holders will be charged a reference fee of $20.00 in addition to the total fees.

 

Russian Green card holders and those who have a Russian long term visa (3 years or more) will not be charged the reference fee

 

In cases where prior reference is required, the processing time is usually 4-6 working days.

 

Citizen of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, processing time is a minimum of 21 working days.

 

It is strongly recommended that Non –Russian nationals apply  for the shortest duration available

 

Bhutan and Nepal do not need a visa to enter India.

Note : Procedure of Application

 

  • Complete the important details:

 

*the country you are applying from, high commission,

*Date of birth, nationality, e-mail id,

*Expected date of arrival in India and visa type. Enter the access code and click Continue.

 

  • The form consists of three pages in total. Fill up each page of the form with your correct details. Click Save and Continue at the bottom after you finish filling up each page.

 

  • Fill columns of your family address and your profession or occupation.

 

  • Visa application procedure is same for Medical Tourist Visa or Normal Tourist Visa

  • The Only point of Difference here is that for the Purpose of visit for entering India will be “ Availing Medical Treatment”.

  • Once you that , you would further fill the form Nature of Disease and you opted for India

 

  • Continue with your medical visa application Information regarding the hospital& treatment in home country & the associate hospital in India, time taken of treatment, expected number of entries/ visits, purpose of visit, expected date of journey, expected time of arrival and departure, other information, details about SAARC country visit and reference updates

 

** As the Travel is planned for the treatment to India only through NTP Healthcare support system & you do not have a reference in India, then you can provide NTP Healthcare office address .

 

  • Upload Photo – Please upload the photo and finally take print of the form and keep with you Recent or Normal in your computer.

  • Once you Save and Continue on the last page i.e., third page, a preview containing all your uploaded details will appear.

  • Go through them once again you have option of Click on Modify/Edit if there is any error.

  • Click on Verified &proceed if all the data entered by you is appropriate

  • Follow the set of instructions that pop up on the new window and press OK for final registration. If you want to modify details click Cancel.

  • Then click OK a window will pop up where you would have the option to select the appointment date for submission of application to the Mission Counter. Click on Confirm the Appointment.

  • Another new screen will open after you have click& confirm on Confirm the Appointment, with two options to Print or Save the online application. Save the online application.It is advisable not to print it immediately as you may lose the application by doing so. Prefer 1st to save than Print

  • There after Click - Print Registered Application to get the hardcopy of the application form.

  • By any chance if you missed to upload your picture in the online application form, then paste it in the photo box on the first page. Make sure the photograph should be according to the specifications i.e., the same size as the box Paste one recent color photograph of 3.5cmx4.5cm size against a white background with full frontal view of the face. Do not staple it to the form.

  • There after putthe applicant signature on the rectangular box exactly below the photo box. The same needs to be done in the box at the bottom of the second page.

  • Final step Deposit the application form along with the essential enclosures at the high Mission Counter on the scheduled appointment date, mentioned at the right margin of the application, during the scheduled  hours .

 

Important

 

In order to ascertain and Confirm the Medical Visa – The Indian Mission and Posts will check and authenticate the documents regardless of your country of origin. Apart from this they will also have to submit the medical history that they have received in their own country and communication exchanged with the Hospital/Doctor & the final plan they opted to travel to India for the specialized treatment.

 

The most important point to note is that medical treatment is allowed and further medical visa is granted only on the basis of treatment provided by the reputable and recognized medical centres.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India

 

Medical Visa Extension

 

Medical visa requires extension when the patient requires some more days for the completion of his treatment or his/her complete recovery. In order to extend ones medical visa, they would require an official letter from the concerned hospital authorities stating their medical condition, treatment procedure and the number of days extra that will be required for his/her complete recovery. The patient or the medical attendant accompanying him/her then has to go to the FRRO office along with the letter issued by the hospital and other required documents to apply for a medical visa extension.

Medical Visa Information Once to land in India (FRRO office)

 

l foreigners (including foreigners of Indian origin) visiting India on long term (more than 180 days) Student Visa, Medical Visa, Research Visa and Employment Visa are required to get themselves registered with the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO)/ Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) concerned having jurisdiction over the place where the foreigner intends to stay, within 14 days of arrival. However, Pakistan nationals are required to register within 24 hours of their arrival. All Afghan nationals are required to register with the FRRO/FRO concerned within 14 days of arrival except those Afghan nationals who enter India on a visa valid for 30 days or less provided the Afghan national concerned gives his/her local address in India to the Indian Mission/FRRO/FRO. The Afghan nationals who are issued visas with ‘ Exemption from police reporting’ are exempt from Police reporting as well as Exit permission provided they leave within the Visa validity period. E-Tourist Visa  with Medical Travel to India

 

E-tourist visa is granted to the following criteria :

 

  •  If you are visiting India for the Holidaying (tourism) sight seeing, meet friends and relatives, casual business visit and a normal medical treatment

  • Visitors who do not have permanent address or business activity in India

  • Passport Validity of more than 6 months 

  • Visitors who show enough fund backing and support during the stay in India (fixed date of arrival and Departure)

  • People who are not persona – non – grata to the Government of India

Visa Service fee

 

India e-visa processing fee is the amount of money that the applicant is required to pay in advance for the visa at the time of filling the online Indian visa application. This India visa cost surrounds checking your document and verification by the officer as well as making the decision whether to approve or reject the application.

 

On your part, this process starts with the filling the online form requiring the personal information, uploading proper documents as per requirements, submitting fees and waiting for the feedback.

 

Given that the process is online, you cannot make cash payments. Rather, you will be required to use your credit/debit card (ensure it is acceptable) as well as PayPal.
